I have a small collection of hand cast stone baskets on display this month at the West Linn Public Library.

My hand carved stone pot will be at the Open Studios Preview and Artists Reception on Saturday night as part of a fundraiser for the Clark County Arts Commission.

beeswax candles
The beeswax was collected from the farm and five local hives.

I collected moss and lichens and blended them with yogurt and beer to speed up the aging process.

prune hill bungalow
Part of the Boring Lava field, Prune Hill is an extinct volcanic vent located in the Columbia River Gorge. It was prune capital of the world before World War II.
The bungalow was built in 1921 and is surrounded by an organic farm and blueberry orchard.
winnebago indian camper
The rusty camper had been buried in mud for several years when I found it.
Planted with wildflowers the 1970's RV is now on permanent vacation.

The top was made from an old deflated rubber ball, and the base is a small basket pot turned upside down.

Found these at a neighborhood garage sale.
They will be forms for planters and the stone will acquire the character of the wood.
